Projexion
Construction-specific business intelligence that sits on top of your existing tech stack, providing real-time risk analytics and performance insights across your entire portfolio
www.projexion.ioProduct Overview
What It Is
Projexion is a construction business intelligence platform that integrates with the software a contractor already runs, aggregating and analyzing data in real time so executives get portfolio-level risk flags and can drill into project detail in seconds.
The Problem It Solves
Current Approach
Construction companies struggle with fragmented data across multiple systems like Procore, Microsoft Project and Sage that do not communicate effectively with each other. Executives spend days manually compiling reports while project teams submit redundant requests to overworked data teams, creating bottlenecks throughout the organization. By the time dashboards are finally built in tools like Power BI, a process that often takes months, the information is already outdated and no longer actionable. Meanwhile critical risks hide in siloed systems while teams waste three or more days per month reconciling endless Excel reports, creating a cycle of reactive rather than proactive management.
How It Changes
Projexion integrates directly with existing construction software to aggregate and analyze data in real time, eliminating the manual compilation. Using a proprietary componentized analytics engine, similar in approach to how a game engine handles components, complex calculations that would take weeks to build manually can be deployed across an entire portfolio in days rather than months. Executives get immediate red, yellow and green risk flags at portfolio level and can drill down to granular project detail in seconds, moving decision-making from reactive guesswork to proactive insight.
Area of Focus
Projexion focuses primarily on the during-construction phase, though data collection spans from pre-construction through post-construction to give complete project lifecycle visibility. The platform targets general contractors and owner-developers in the mid-to-large segment, with $500M to $10B or more in annual revenue. Use cases include portfolio management, schedule analytics, financial oversight, document control and compliance monitoring.
Key Features
Out-of-the-Box Risk Modules
Pain: Executives waste hours each week reviewing 30 or more projects individually to identify problems.
Pre-built modules cover scheduling, financials, team performance, document control, and safety and quality. Scheduling insights include actual versus planned completion, critical path analysis and float compression. Financial modules track budget performance, contingency burn and contractual fees against projections. Team performance is evaluated through compliance rates and month-over-month trends, while document control focuses on response times, late items and historical performance. Safety and quality modules enable compliance tracking against custom-defined thresholds.
Componentized Analytics Engine
Pain: Building custom calculations in Power BI means starting from scratch for each project, and changes to one dashboard do not cascade to the others.
A visual, no-code calculation builder made up of pre-built components. An actual percent complete calculation, for example, pulls source data directly from the scheduling software, automatically cleans duplicate entries, multiplies each task's percent complete by its duration, then sums completed days divided by total duration to produce an accurate schedule completion metric.
Dynamic Historical Trending
Pain: Traditional BI tools show snapshots, such as seven items open and five late, but do not reveal whether performance is improving or declining over time.
Every metric includes built-in time-series analysis comparing performance from six months ago to today, with trend lines that clearly indicate improvement or decline, and correlations highlighted between different risk factors, such as late submittals affecting budget performance. The system also tracks photo documentation compliance rates by team member over time, adding behavioral accountability to operational metrics.
Cross-System Integration and Single Sign-On
Pain: Data lives in Microsoft Project, Procore, Sage 300 and Intacct, and Excel files scattered across drives. Manual reconciliation takes days.
Direct integrations with major industry systems including Procore, Microsoft Project, Sage 300 and Sage Intacct. For Procore users, single sign-on automatically pulls in all associated projects without manual setup. Standard modules can be onboarded in as little as 30 minutes, while more customized deployments are typically complete within three months.
Plug-and-Play Specialized Modules
Three specialized modules, each priced at $10,000 a year. The Schedule Performance module focuses on proactive schedule risk, tracking update frequency, monitoring critical and near-critical activities, and analyzing float to flag where a single missed day eliminates all buffer. It compares baseline schedules against actual progress and correlates job cost data to identify when spending is moving too fast or too slow relative to progress. Three-week look-aheads are generated directly from the contract schedule, removing the separate Excel files that often create conflicting sources of truth. The Financial and WIP Reporting module automates WIP reports that continuously track budget versus actuals, monitor contingency burn rates, manage change orders and highlight deltas between contract fees and projections. It returns roughly three days a month to the controller, plus additional hours across project teams. The Document Control module gives visibility into document workflows by tracking average time to close items within the team's control, the percentage of late responses, and response times for architects and subcontractors. Historical trends are analyzed and predictive risk flags raised when response times begin to slip.
Automated Distribution and Reporting
Pain: Preparing monthly reports for owners and architects consumes hours of project manager time every week.
Dashboards distribute automatically on weekly, monthly or custom schedules. Recipients get read-only access to live, interactive dashboards rather than static PDFs, so stakeholders can explore historical performance themselves. In practice this lets an architect see that they are averaging 20-day response times and allocate additional resources to improve.

Implementation & Onboarding
Timeline: standard modules go live in 30 minutes, importing the portfolio and starting to analyze. A customized deployment takes around three months, covering discovery, configuration, testing and rollout. Expect minor tweaks and adjustments to the pre-built modules in the first week. Approach: adoption runs top-down, starting with the C-suite and executives where the time savings are greatest. The portfolio is imported with a single button click, followed by initial training on the standard modules, then iterative customization based on user feedback, and finally documentation and standardization for company-wide rollout.

ROI & Value
Quantifiable time savings
Manual dashboard building is eliminated, saving weeks to months annually. Monthly reconciliation returns three days a month to controllers, or 36 days a year. Executive portfolio review drops from hours to minutes per week, more than 100 hours a year. The weekly and monthly burden of custom report preparation is removed.
Strategic value
Competitive advantage through data-driven decision making, better project outcomes through proactive management, improved relationships with owners and architects through transparency, and team retention through reduced administrative burden.
